Spirit of Aquila

Aquila is the icon of St John’s which is also the name of the college emblem. The Aquila is the symbol of both St John the Evangelist and the Sun, signifying that truth and wisdom are revealed through both of them. All St Johnians will uphold the spirit of aquila--which is ‘strive for the best’.
