Surrounding Historic Buildings

The location of the fruit market is quite interesting because it locates at the centre of the city, Yau Tsim Mong District. Some people argue that the wholesale fruit market doesn't fit in the surrounding complex. We think it's important to understand a heritage site in its original environment or context so in this exhibition we also included some buildings nearby to help our audience have a better understanding of this block.

油麻地果欄的地理位置十分特殊，它處於油尖旺地區的城市中心地帶。一些人曾經提出，油麻地果籃與周圍其他建築物格格不入。而我們認爲，通過瞭解文化遺產原本的環境和地點來瞭解文化遺產是很重要的。因此，在本個展覽中，我們同樣囊括了一些油麻地果欄周圍的歷史建築，用以幫助大家更好地瞭解這個區域。
