Sam Tai Tsz Temple was built to honor the god Sam Tai Tsz who was known for his miracle that got rid of a plague that occured in 1894. On the other hand, the Pak Tai Temple was built in honor of Pak Tai, the God of the North, and was built for the fishermens living in Sham Shui Po area.
