Chinese Lunar New Year （農曆新年）

It is also called the Spring Festival（春節）, which is most essential festival in China （of course in Hong Kong as well!）. It is celebrated from the 1^st day until the 15^th day of the 1^st lunar month. The night before the 1^st day is the Chinese New Year's Eve（除夕）and the final day is Lantern Festival （元宵節）. The Chinese Lunar New Year could also be called "Guonian"（過年）, which mean leaving the old year and welcoming the new year.
