Description

The parade of float in Cheung Chau Bun Festival started because of the plague in the Qing Dynasty. The villagers in Cheung Chau asked for help from Pak Tai and paraded around the island. The plague then miraculously ended after the march, so they keep this as a tradition every year. Kids would wear costumes and act like a historical figure, political figure, or even imaginary figures nowadays.
