Bun-snatching

The lucky steamed buns were originally made as offerings to Pak Tai and were stacked in front of the temple. Since they represent fortune, the villagers would snatch them from the piles. Soon, families were sending their strongest to grab the buns from the top.

Creative Food

Besides traditional food such as Ping On Bun, numerous creative food was invented and promoted by Cheung Chau citizens in recent years. Traditional food was converted into something novel which surprises us.

The Iconic Bun
