Title

Uniquely Hong Kong: Taoist Paper Art

Description

Burning paper money and effigies is common in traditional Chinese religions, particularly Taoism. They are used to imitate the appearance of objects used by the living - including Wii controllers, iPads and electric guitars - and then burned as an offering. In this episode of our Uniquely Hong Kong series, we explore the craft with an effigy-making master who tells us about his most extravagant client request.
