Tin Hau is the the Chinese Goddess of the Sea and Fishermen and other sailors will pay respect to the Goddess and ask her to protect them from the sea. Many Tin Hau Temple were built to worship her and the legends around Tin Hau's life were broadly established by the 13th century.She is now generally regarded by her believers as a powerful and benevolent Queen of Heaven.Moreover,she has really existed in the history and her original name is Lin Moniang.After she died, she was being deification and become Mazu.
