Are you and your partner thinking about having children?
Do you stand a good chance at conceiving?
How well do you know your own risk?
This self-assessment tool (called FertiSTAT) is developed by Professor Jacky Boivin and her team from Cardiff University, UK. Professor Boivin has been a leading researcher in the field of reproductive psychology and fertility, and has made significant contribution to the assessment of psychological needs of persons with fertility issues.
FertiStat lets you know whether your medical history, lifestyle factors and health behaviours hamper your chances of getting pregnant. You will receive an individualized report at the end with suggestions on how you could do things differently.
This is an ongoing research study of our team at Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong. By using the self-assessment tool and filling in a brief survey, you are helping us know more about people’s attitudes and behaviours related to fertility. In turn, you’re helping us create better and more targeted knowledge dissemination tool for the general public!
