About This Course

Slide Design is a short 90-minutes online course designed to provide students with insights for their presentation slide design for instructional activities and assignments. The goal is for students to understand the four key principles in slide design, including simplicity, consistency, visual hierarchy, and balance. There will be ample examples and lesson activities about visual design, including fonts and colours, accessibility and quality considerations, cohesiveness of structure and organization, and more.

The course consists of three short modules including: (1) Typography and colour theory; (2) Using visuals effectively; and (3) Creating a cohesive presentation using slides.
