Professional Writing for Impactful Workplace Communication

HKU

When graduates start working, they will face with a very different environment than when they were in the university. They may need to write some work-related documents, such as work reports, meeting minutes, and even annual self-assessment reports in order to gain opportunities for advancement at work. In addition, they should also master the workplace etiquette required to communicate with their colleagues and superiors through commonly used emails and even communication software.

This project is for constructing an online interactive learning resource to help students learn job-related communication skills in writing. Students will learn how to write emails, minutes, reports, proposals, press releases, self-assessments, performance assessments job reference letters, etc. in this learning resource. Both writing skills in Chinese and English will be provided.
