Victoria Harbour is a natural harbour that separates Hong Kong Island with the Southern part of Mainland China. The strategic location it posseses were instrumental during the British colonial time and in developing Hong Kong as a major trading center. Although the port has gone through numerous reclamation, it remains as a major international port that is passed by thousands of vessels annually.
