Description
The University of Hong Kong was built under the aim to compete with the emergence of Great Power universities in China. The first three faculties were Arts, Engineering and Medicine. During World War II, HKU Main Building suffered severe damage, post this era is regarded as a crucial time as seven other faculties were opened with the Faculty of Business and Economics as the youngest. Currently, Hong Kong is ranked one of the world's finest university with numerous distinguished lecturers and students.
