Description
This is an ink painting by Chao Shao-an (1905-1998). He created these album leaves after settling in Hong Kong. He is a second-generation painter of the Lingnan School and the School pioneered the reform of the Chinese painting tradition in the early 20th century by 'synthesising Chinese and Western art and harmonising ancient and modern art'.
