Description

Saimham(赛乃姆) is the most popular folk dance of the Uygur people. It is widely spread in the towns and villages of the Tianshan Mountains(天山). Sainim (赛乃姆) has a long history. It originated from the oasis of southern Xinjiang(新疆).
With the integration of the nation, Sainim (赛乃姆) is spread throughout Xinjiang. Every region absorb the characteristics of the dance on the basis of their own dances, and gradually formed different kinds of Saimham in different regions. There are about 10 kinds, including Kashgar Sai. M(喀什赛乃姆), Kuqa Saimha(库车赛乃姆 )and Hami Saimham(哈密赛乃姆), which are the most typical dances.
