It is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses. In traditional Chinese Medicine, the inner gel of the Aloe Vera plant helps to nourish, moisten and balance all the tissues and is suitable for all body types. It is considered an excellent yin tonic, because of the health benefits of Aloe Vera gel and it is used as a purgative.
