The Daimler A was Hong Kong’s first double-decker, started service in 1949 and retired in the 1980s. In 1949, with the increasing number of new immigrants from China, the population of Hong Kong raised and the demand for bus passengers enhanced. Therefore, the Daimler A was introduced in order to fulfill the demand of it.
