On the 22nd of March the day time is equal to the night time and the day time is increasing afterwards. Moreover, the spring time comes and snow starts to melt, it is becoming warmer, which means that cold and difficult winter is passed. Basically, the Nowruz can be considered as the New Year Festival of Central Asian people.

To play national games, to place “Altybakan”-swings. To invite guests and be invited by close friends and relatives to share food and good mood with each other. Show respect to the guests by creating a table full of different food. To cook Nowruz koje which contains 7 various ingredients (7 is a lucky number for Kazakhs)

Mostly traditional, to meet new year in beautiful clothes.
